Our company, our history

We would love to introduce ourselves and tell you a bit more about our history.
The timeline below shows how Ketele nv has grown over the years into today's company

1963
Ketele is founded
In the municipality of Edegem in 1963 'Ketele', then still in the form of a PVBA, was founded by Karel Guido Ketele. At that time it was still a one-man business consisting of an office and a small workshop / warehouse space, specialized in the sale of high-frequency welding machines.

A larger building
After a few years, he had to look for larger premises. The company moves to the Prins Boudewijnlaan in Edegem. In the meantime, three people work in the company.

Moving out again
The building in Edegem has also become too small in the meantime. K.G. Ketele decides to move to a large, spacious building in Hove. Ketele will be located at Mechelsesteenweg in Hove for almost 40 years.

Erik Ketele comes aboard
Guido's eldest son Erik comes to work in the company. The business activities are increasingly evolving towards engraving and routers. Under Erik's management & vision, Ketele will grow into a leading company in the field of CNC portal routing machines.

The 1st computer-controlled engraving machine
The very first computer-controlled engraving machine is delivered by our company in Europe. The then ultra-modern Dahlgren Wizzard was a milestone in the engraving world.

Graflux is founded
In the mid-1980s it was decided to start up its own brand and production of plastic engraving plates. The Graflux brand is born. Today Graflux is sold worldwide through an extensive dealer network. Graflux is available in more than 50 different color combinations, 3 thicknesses and, if desired, we make them self-adhesive with a 3M adhesive layer on the back. Ketele becomes Multicam distributor
In the early 1990s, Ketele becomes the exclusive distributor of Multicam routers in the Benelux. These high-quality American routing machines quickly find their way to hundreds of customers in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Luxembourg.

The 3rd generation
Early 2007 Erik's oldest son Olivier also joins the company. Meanwhile, 12 people are employed at Ketele.

Cyborg routers
At the end of 2011 it is decided to build CNC routers ourselves. All the knowledge we have in-house is put into the Cyborgs, resulting in progressive, fast and reliable routing machines.

50 years of Ketele
In 2013 we celebrated our 50th anniversary! The company has since grown into a thriving SME with an extensive range of routers, engraving machines, laser engraving machines, laser cutters, tools, etc. ... In other words, the specialist in milling and engraving!

The 500th CNC router
In May 2017 we installed the 500th CNC milling machine in the Benelux! The machine park grows year after year, just like the number of loyal customers.

Ketele moves to Kontich
After 40 years of building and selling machines, the building in Hove has become too small, the company is bursting at the seams. A new, large building in Kontich is being purchased on the industrial zone 'Blauwe Steen'. Thanks to the modern, well-equipped workshops and offices, we are ready for the next 50 years!

Innovative transformations
Many innovations are being rolled out this year, including the launch of the brand new Cyborg X-300 desktop engraver and the return of the LMT Tools range.

Ketele turns 60!
In 2023, the Ketele company will be 60 years old. A new milestone in the company's history.

Diager Industrie
Starting in 2024, Diager Industrie and our company will enter into an intensive partnership, with Ketele nv becoming the exclusive distributor of these French milling tools for the entire Benelux region.

Our team consists of specialists whom excel every day

Team

Our account managers are not only specialized in selling machines, they know every device and the associated software from A to Z. All customers are in direct contact with an experienced and trained point of contact, even many years after the purchase and installation of a machine. You can contact our account managers with all your questions, they are happy to help you devise the most optimal strategies and help you streamline your workflow. 

Our field engineers have extensive technological knowledge and are able to solve any unexpected problem quickly & adequately. They have a fully equipped van with the necessary tools and can carry out repairs on location within the shortest period of time. So if you unexpectedly have a breakdown or having an issue, we solve it quickly and correctly!

Our administration ensures you can contact Ketele for accessories, tools, consumables, etc. Orders are handled quickly and smoothly. You can pick up your ordered good during office hours or have them shipped via UPS. (Ordered before 12 noon will be delivered the next day at your doorstep.)
